FAQ

  • How do you pronounce your company name?
Our company name, VTHROTL, is pronounced "V Throttle," short for "Virtual Throttle." It’s a nod to our passion for racing and high-performance simulators!
  • Why are your simulators so expensive?
Our simulators are designed for serious racing enthusiasts who want a high-performance experience. The hardware we use isn’t your average gaming setup—these are professional-grade components built for precision and durability. The cost reflects the quality of the materials, the time spent on custom assembly, and the meticulous testing we do to ensure everything runs perfectly. Plus, we provide hands-on training and support, so you’re not just investing in hardware—you’re getting a complete, personalized experience tailored to your needs.
  • What is the service area for Vthrotl Simulators?
Vthrotl Simulators proudly serves Southwestern Ontario, with a current service area that extends up to 150 kilometers from London, ON.
  • I'm located outside of your service area. Can you still help me?
While our hands-on services are focused on Southwestern Ontario, we’re always happy to offer advice and guidance no matter where you're located. If you're outside our service area, we can help you explore the best options for your sim racing setup and connect you with trusted partners to get you racing, even if you're a bit farther away!
  • What is the turnaround time for a turnkey simulator?
The typical turnaround time for a turnkey simulator is about 4-6 weeks. Since each system is built to your specifications, we take the time to carefully assemble, test, and fine-tune everything. Factors like product availability or any custom requests can sometimes affect this timeline, but we’ll keep you updated every step of the way, so you’ll always know when to expect delivery.
  • How long does it take to setup the simulator on site?
In most cases, we plan for a 6-8 hour setup to make sure your simulator is perfectly fitted and to provide a personalized training session. If needed, we’re happy to come back the next day for any adjustments based on your feedback—our goal is to make sure everything feels just right for you.
  • Why can't I buy a simulator directly from your site? Why do I need a quote?
Each simulator we build is custom-made to suit your specific needs, so it's not as simple as offering a one-size-fits-all solution. As a local small business, and not an online shop, we provide personalized service by offering a quote to ensure you’re getting the right setup for your space, budget, and performance requirements. This approach guarantees you’re investing in a simulator tailored to give you the best experience possible.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
Currently, we do not accept credit cards. However, we do accept several secure payment methods, including e-transfers, bank drafts, and wire transfers (our preferred method). If you have any questions about the process, feel free to reach out, and we’ll be happy to guide you through it.
  • What are your payment terms?
We require a 50% deposit upon acceptance of the quote to begin the custom build process. This secures your order and allows us to start assembling your simulator. The remaining 50% is due upon delivery and successful installation at your location.
