My journey into sim racing gear began early during the pandemic. Like many, I was searching for a personal escape—something to take me away from the chaos of the world, a way to switch off and enjoy some much-needed 'me time.' As a lifelong fan of racing games and motorsports, I decided to dive deeper into sim racing. I started small, with a Thrustmaster wheel and pedals combo and a simple stand from Amazon, just to see if I’d enjoy it and find the personal therapy I was seeking.

Though I’ve always loved racing games (my only previous 'gear' experience being a plastic Logitech wheel for the PlayStation 2, years prior), this was my first real step into the world of more serious sim racing hardware. I was hooked almost immediately. But it didn’t take long to realize there was so much more out there. After discovering the Fanatec ecosystem, I returned the Thrustmaster and eagerly upgraded my hardware whenever funds allowed.

Months of research, trial, error, and expense led me to build a simulator I was truly happy with. In 2024, I founded Vthrotl Simulators—born out of a passion for sim racing and a desire to make the process easier for enthusiasts in Southwestern Ontario, looking to get into high-end sim racing for the first time.
